Why is the Chloe Process different?

The Chloe process should not be mistaken for publishing content to be consumed on a traditional website by clicking through a series of pages to view text, pictures and banner ads. It is a process to deliver a curated digital publication to be enjoyed like a traditional newspaper, or magazine experience, wherever readers are — on their phone, tablet or computer. And because the Chloe Process leverages electronic delivery, the reader’s pages can come to life and take them to places traditional print has never been able to compete for readership and advertising dollars. With logistical costs of physical product distribution rising by the minute, it is worth considering The Electronic Home Delivery Program (The EHDP) to save money AND make more money through an increased audience for traditional print, PLUS TV and Radio advertisers.

Cost savings | e-Home Delivery | Versatility | ROI

The EHDP(SM) — AKA “CHLOE Process” will eliminate the need for a newspaper to purchase presses, newsprint, ink, trucks, warehouses and operating a production facility. And, it will also give newspapers an opportunity to generate new revenue by selling TV and radio spots, which will generate more new revenue.

The added value to publishers will also result in a very significant reduction in operating costs to run a newspaper, making them financially successful.

Some of the key benefits of using the CHLOE Process for Publishers:

  1. Instantaneous direct delivery to the entire circulation of readers email address and/or cell phone and the reading of that digital newspaper on ‘all’ computers, notepads, notebooks and smart phones.
  2. Generous overhead/operational savings in capital equipment/materials
  3. Ability to generate new revenue from advertisers
  4. Exact newspaper layout format capability
  5. Video capability insertion as part of the format content
  6. Mobile capability
  7. Environmental friendly

It will be a significant change for the newspaper industry that has traditionally revered newsprint and ink, but it may be the only way to survive, as consumers increasingly want their news and entertainment in digital form. Newspapers will have to shift their publications to digital online editions in order to compete & survive.

  • In years past, consumers would have their morning papers delivered to their home or stop by the store or newsstand on the way to work. Today, many people get their fix of news staring at a tablet or smart phone. It’s rare these days to see a commuter reading a traditional print newspaper on the train or subway
  • The same technology that threatened the very existence of the newsroom is helping shape what newspapers look like now and how they’ll perform in the coming years
  • The digital process has lured many readers away from traditional print, resulting in falling newspaper circulation and advertising revenue
  • Studies revealed that of the people who read newspapers, less than half of them read it in traditional print
  • Advertising revenue—the lifeblood of newspapers—has declined, as advertisers take advantage of the more widespread demand for digital ads and spend significantly less on traditional print advertisement
  • As traditional print distribution becomes economically unfeasible, publishers will begin move to an online-digital edition or to the new “Chloe Process” digital edition distributed Electronically
  • Overhead costs for newspapers are high and are increasing and cut into the profitability of the organization
  • In the digital age, home distribution remains a key link between newspapers and their readers
  • For publications, a digital newspaper offers opportunities that traditional print cannot — audio, video, interactivity. Digital newspapers will add a layer of engagement for the reader and lends itself to social sharing, increasing pass-along readership
  • By designing for digital, you can make the fonts readable in every format from PC to smart phone

The Founders

Mr. Alan W. Sorter, an ex-Knight Ridder Executive, current President & CEO of the Freedom Media Group, and the Publisher and President of the Columbus Post and Union County Post, has achieved a decades-old dream: The EHDP(SM) — AKA  “Chloe Process.” A technological breakthrough made possible by today’s powerful computing devices and the worldwide reach of the Internet.

Years later he met Manager of Operations, Mr. Herman Raymond Thornton, who would become his partner in developing the “Chloe Process.”

The Brand Name

  • In the New Testament, Chloe is a convert of St. Paul.
  • The name means “blooming” or “young green shoot”.
  • Considerably more dynamic than most of the other Greek-based romantic literary names of the seventeenth century, Chloe is a pretty springtime name symbolizing new growth.
  • The name is excellent at analyzing, understanding, and learning. Tends to be mystical, philosophical, scholastic, and educational.

The Chloe brand name was selected as a tribute to a little girl named Chloe, who is very near and dear to Mr. Alan Sorter. Chloe is a very special, intelligent and smart young age elementary school student who one day sat down and started to read a test simulation of the “Chloe Process.” She immediately grasped the digital format with ease. Right there the “Chloe Process” brand name was established.
